Visit Seikan-ji Temple, which sits at the foot of Mt. Kiyomizu (Kyoto)

Temple

This small Seikan-ji Temple sits on a small hill.
Surrounded by greenery, it is a quiet temple in the mountains. It is located to the south of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and not many people visit. This temple was founded in the Heian period(794-1185).It is a temple with a long history that sits quietly, without any showiness.
In front of the temple is the mausoleum of the Emperor.

From this temple, you can join the Higashiyama Trail.
If you continue north along the trail, you will reach Shogunzuka Seiryu-den Temple, which has a stage from which you can see the whole of Kyoto City.

Rather than visiting this temple on its own, I think it would be better to visit it with the intention of walking the Higashiyama Trail.
