Visit the Eikando temple in the fresh green of spring (Kyoto)

Kyoto

Eikando Temple is famous for its autumn leaves. Eikando Temple is also beautiful in the new green of spring, after the cherry blossom season has ended.

Even just looking at the new green from the temple buildings in the precincts is worth the trip. The view from the “Garyu-ro” corridor, which runs along the side of the mountain, is also nice.

Eikando Temple is on the way to Nanzen-ji Temple from the Philosopher’s Path. It is also about a 20-minute walk from Heian-jingu Shrine.
