From morning, take your time to enjoy the gardens of Tenryu-ji Temple. The Sogen Pond Garden, as seen from the Dai-hojo(ceremonial hall) and the Ko-hojo(reception hall), is a superb garden that makes use of the scenery of Arashiyama as a backdrop.
The best time to appreciate the gardens is when there are few people around.The subtemples along the approach to the temple also have their own charm.The Bamboo Grove Path(Bamboo forest) is nice, but I really want you to visit Tenryu-ji Temple.
