Walking along the promenade to Misu Lock, a heritage site in Fushimi (Fushimi)

In Fushimi, there is the Fushimi Jukkoku-Bune Cruise that takes you around the waterways.The cruise goes from behind the Sake brewery at the Gekkeikan Okura Memorial Museum to Misu lock (Misu-komon) and back.

The same cruise route allows visitors to walk along the waterway.From the Gekkeikan Sake Brewery, pass the Teradaya Ryokan and head south on the Fushimideai-bashi Bridge.

Around the Fushimi Minato Plaza, you will see the Misu Locks.The Misu Locks are no longer used as a lock gate.It is now used as a harbor for pleasure boats.

Here, at Misu Locks, there is the Misu Locks Museum.Originally, it was the lock’s wheelhouse.It is a small museum, but you can learn about the history of Fushimi and boat transportation.
