Do you know Hakusason-so?

Hakusason-so is located near Ginkaku-ji Temple. It is a vast garden created by the Japanese-style painter Kansetsu Hashimoto over a period of 30 years, and is a Japanese-style garden with a circular path around a pond.

In the garden, there is a tea ceremony room, an arbor, and a small temple, in addition to a large painting room used for production. Also scattered throughout the garden are stone art works that are between 1,000 and 500 years old.

Hakusason-so is also home to the Hashimoto Kansetsu Memorial Museum (art museum). From the terrace on the second floor of the museum, you can enjoy a view of the trees in the garden with Mt. Daimonji .If you have come all the way to Ginkaku-ji Temple, you should also visit Hakusason-so.
