Visit the Eikan-do temple in the fresh green of spring (Kyoto)

Eikan-do Temple is famous for its autumn leaves. Eikan-do Temple is also beautiful in the new green of spring, after the cherry blossom season has ended.Even just looking at the new green from the temple buildings in the precincts is worth the trip. The view from the Garyu-ro corridor, which runs along the side of the mountain, is also nice.

You can walk up the mountain path to Shogun-zuka Seiryu-den Temple at the top of the mountain (Kyoto)

If you look from Heian Jingu Shrine, you can see Shogun-zuka Seiryu-den Temple, a separate building of Shoren-in Temple, on the mountain to the south. This temple has a large stage in its grounds, from which you can see the whole of Kyoto. When I visited, it was cherry blossom season, so the grounds were full of tourists.

I found a good place. Maple leaves at Rokuo-in Temple (Kyoto)

I enjoyed the autumn to the full.Maple leaves spread out over the grounds of a small temple, and the surroundings are quiet. It's about a 10-minute walk from Rokuo-in Station, which is two stops before Randen Arashiyama Station. It's worth getting off the train and dropping in.
